SMALL COMMUNITIES

In our rule of life, we state a desire for “tangible expressions of community.” At All Souls, these tend to happen around tables. We gather every Sunday around the Eucharist table. Throughout the week we gather around kitchen tables, cafe tables, restaurant tables, coffee tables, and every table in-between. Gathering around tables is not just because we like good food and good conversation, but also because this a rhythm we see often in Jesus’ own life. In fact, we know more about what Jesus said around tables than what he said in the Synagogue.

Current Small Community Offerings

  • Meals & Stories

All Souls began as a simple community in a living room, praying the evening hours, sharing a table and sharing bits of our life story (who we are, what has made us who we are, where we’ve encountered deep joy and where we hope for God to make us new). This community hopes to continue this core way of life.

Meals and Stories will pick back up in the Fall of 2025.

    Stay tuned!

  • Seasonal Meals

Seasonal Meals — simple gatherings around a table, rooted in our shared life and the rhythm of the Church year.

Each season, Advent, Epiphany, Lent, and Easter, we’ll set aside one week for these meals. Hosts from our community will open their homes, light a candle, offer a prayer, and welcome others to the ordinary holiness of dinner.

Our Easter Seasonal Meals will take place May 4–10.

You’re invited to come, share a meal, listen, and be listened to.

  • The Take Away Women's Gathering

This women’s gathering is for all women at All Souls. No sign-up required. Come as you are—pajamas are welcome, and extra points for interesting slippers. You’re free to arrive and leave as needed, though the “takeaway” portion happens between 7:30 and 8:30 pm.

These evening gatherings are a simple, low-key space to deepen friendships and spark other moments of togetherness—dinners, hikes, crafts, and more. For the first three months, Amie Elmore will facilitate and Amy Anderson will host, with hopes that others will join in facilitating and hosting in the months ahead.

    What to Expect:

    7:00–7:30 pm – Welcome, conversation, and a light snack (possibly a non-awkward warm-up).

7:30–8:30 pm – Prompt & Response: reflect on a short prompt—scripture, story, art, or quote—first quietly, then in small groups. No homework, no outside reading, and if you need a nap in the corner, no judgment.

8:30–9:00 pm – Time to linger and hang out.
