HOLY WEEK PASTORAL LETTER

Read the Holy Week Pastoral Letter from Fr. Bliss offering us an invitation into a gentle, intentional Holy Week.

EASTER EMMAUS MEALS

There’s something about a meal that slows us down. Something about a table that makes room for more than just food. In the days after the resurrection, when hearts were broken and stories were tangled, two friends walked a road with a stranger who spoke of ancient hopes. And when they reached their home, they did what we do when we don’t know what else to do, they set the table.

And it was there, in the breaking of bread, that their eyes were opened.

We’re inviting you into that kind of story. From May 4th to 10th, homes in our community will become little Emmaus roads, places where people begin with prayer and then break bread. Places where stories will be told, laughter will be shared, and perhaps, who knows, a heart or two will burn with the quiet joy of being seen, being fed, being found.

Each meal will be hosted by someone in our community. They’ll set the table, light a candle maybe, offer a prayer to begin. After that, it’s just the ordinary holiness of dinner.

You’re invited to sign up, let us know what nights work best for you, and we’ll place you in a group. All the coordination will be held gently by the hosts—yours is simply to show up.

Come with your hunger, your stories, your wondering hearts. The road to Emmaus winds through our homes, and Christ walks it still.
