Keep Vigil • Advent 2025
Advent is a season of longing and preparation. A time to make room for Christ in our lives, our homes, and our community. Each year, we set aside these weeks to practice attentiveness, generosity, restoration, and shalom together. We invite you to join us in these shared rhythms of prayer, hospitality, and hope.
PRACTICE ATTENTIVESS
We practice attentiveness to Christ by co-creating liturgies because God uses them to encounter us.
Nov 30, Dec 7, Dec 14, Dec 21 at 10a
(Live Nativity during morning liturgy on Dec 21)
Carol Sing out front at 6p
We practice generous hospitality by opening our homes and our tables, because being with others in meals, stories, and shared life is being with God
GENEROUS HOSPTIALITY
Seasonal Meals for Advent — Week of Dec 7
Advent Parties will take place throughout our community. Fill out the form to let us know if you are able or unable to attend. If able, we’ll connect you with a host.
Holiday Makers Market — Dec 14
Celebrate local creativity, enjoy warm drinks, and support our artists and makers.
The Rite of Returning (Confession)
The sacrament of confession know is about returning home. Confession is not about shame; it’s a sacrament of healing. It is an invitation to lay down our burdens and let God’s restoring grace make us whole again. Download our guide to learn more. Schedule a time with Fr. Bliss through this link. If there is not an option that works, please reach out.
Liturgy of the Longest Night — Dec 21 at 6p
A quiet, contemplative service that holds space for grief, weariness, and waiting—trusting that even in the longest night, the light of Christ is not overcome.
We practice restoration by receiving God’s healing through prayer, sacrament, forgiveness, and formation because God is making us more fully human.
RESTORATION
We practice shalom by serving children, walking with the poor, working for justice, and seeking the flourishing of our community because God is already present.
SHALOM
Toy Drive - Dec 7th (last Sunday for Drop Off)
We’re collecting new or gently used toys for children ages 1–14, and age-appropriate gifts for youth 15–19. Gifts will be given to our Shalom Partner, Love INC, who will host a Christmas “shopping” event for parents to choose presents for their children.
