SMALL COMMUNITIES

In our rule of life, we state a desire for “tangible expressions of community.” At All Souls, these tend to happen around tables. We gather every Sunday around the Eucharist table. Throughout the week we gather around kitchen tables, cafe tables, restaurant tables, coffee tables, and every table in-between. Gathering around tables is not just because we like good food and good conversation, but also because this a rhythm we see often in Jesus’ own life. In fact, we know more about what Jesus said around tables than what he said in the Synagogue.

Current Small Community Offerings

  • Women's Monthly Gathering

Join other women from All Souls on the 1st Saturday of the month at the Wool Factory at 8:00 am. At each gathering, we begin with a time of unstructured fellowship and then move into smaller groups to discuss a couple of questions provided. These questions aim to get to know one another and discuss topics related to our actual lived experiences.

All Souls will cover the cost of your first coffee!

  • Men's Monthly Gathering

Join other men from All Souls on the 3rd Saturday of the month at the Wool Factory at 8:00 am. At each gathering, we begin with a time of unstructured fellowship and then move into smaller groups to discuss a couple of questions provided. These questions aim to get to know one another and discuss topics related to our actual lived experiences.

All Souls will cover the cost of your first coffee!

  • Meals & Stories

All Souls began as a simple community in a living room, praying the evening hours, sharing a table and sharing bits of our life story (who we are, what has made us who we are, where we’ve encountered deep joy and where we hope for God to make us new). This community hopes to continue this core way of life. This group will be limited to 10 people and is an especially meaningful way for new folks to find their way into our community. Our hope is that everyone at All Souls will, at one time or another, be part of Meals & Stories. We will not have childcare, but will eagerly help with the cost if it is a hardship. Meals and Stories groups will gather at regular intervals over the course of the year.

Meals and Stories Groups are currently on pause due to Covid, but we hope to resume them in some form soon!  All

  • Formation Groups

Formation Groups are groups of 2 to 7 people who gather regularly (should last between sixty and ninety minutes) to pray, study, share their past experiences and make plans for their life with God for the weeks ahead. For this time, we are recommending the use of “A Spiritual Formation Workbook” that was created by our friends at Renovaré (https://renovare.org).

Workbooks are available for free at the Welcome Table on Sundays.
